Host: LabRoots
Start Date: Aug 25, 2021
Time: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm ET
Location: Virtual

Description: The LabRoots 9th Annual Neuroscience Virtual Conference will feature presentations on integrating theories of the brain, neurodegenerative disorders, and mental health in the age of COVID-19. The event will take place Wednesday, August 25th, from 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM (EST). This year’s program showcases the work of several BRAIN-funded investigators, who will discuss progress in integrating brain circuit theories, made possible by novel quantitative, data-driven (AI/ML), and theory-driven (mechanistic) approaches. These talks will culminate in a live debate discussion where attendees can offer feedback on organizing emerging theories of brain function. Don’t miss the keynote panel led by Drs. John Ngai, Director of the NIH BRAIN Initiative, and Mohammad M. Ghassemi, NIH Data Scholar and Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. During this session, members of the NIH BRAIN Initiative program team will discuss current and future directions of the NIH BRAIN Initiative, followed by a live Q&A with attendees.
